Structural Engineer - Cornwall - 3 to 5 years’ experience. Varied, innovative, imaginative, sustainable, and historic structures. Associate Designate.

Us: A multi-disciplinary building and structural engineering practice reprofiled under new management from the original Philip Desmonde Partnership (set up in 1982) operating throughout the UK. We are working with major organisations ranging from house and property owners to Cornwall Council, the Scottish Government, Prime Contractors and Property Developers.

Location: Based at our Cornwall Offices in St Agnes, the former Barclays Bank Branch, we provide our works and services throughout Cornwall and the UK. The work environment is wonderful, close to some of the best surfing beaches, with amazing coastal walks. Within 30 minutes of Truro and the Newquay Airport. A great place to live and work!

Need: An experienced Structural or Civil Engineer (structures) working from our Cornwall Office in St Agnes on a wide range of project types from Nationally important historic structures; new builds; geotechnical, infrastructure, coastal structures; and expert evidence. The candidate will have an important role in supporting and guiding the Firm's business success.

Role: Structural Engineering expertise to include Job Control, Client Liaison and Business Development.

Technically: At least 3 to 5 years’ experience in a UK Design Office, working with common software such as TEDDS/SCIA/TEKLA and AutoCAD/TurboCAD. Good communication capability and report writing skills. Self-motivated and ambitious. Driving Licence.

We Offer: Salary between £45,000 and £75,000; responsibility; innovative and inventive challenges; CPD support; and scope for rapid advancement. Discretionary Bonus after 12 months.
