About EPA Design

EPA Design is a multi-disciplinary studio collective of Architectural Designers, Structural Engineers, and Civil Engineers. We deliver a diverse portfolio of residential and commercial projects across Essex, the South East, and beyond.

We are expanding our team and looking for a proactive Structural / Civil Technician to contribute to the delivery of high-quality, technically detailed projects. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and forward-thinking design studio.


Role Overview

As a Structural / Civil Technician, you will play a key role in producing accurate technical drawings, coordinating with engineers and architects, and supporting project delivery from concept through to completion.

You will work closely with the wider design team to ensure the technical accuracy, quality, and compliance of all documentation across residential and commercial schemes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Produce detailed technical drawings using AutoCAD and Revit (or similar software).

  • Support engineers with design information, schedules, and calculations.

  • Prepare and collate drawings, specifications, and technical reports.

  • Liaise with clients, architects, contractors, and consultants throughout project stages.

  • Assist with project coordination and documentation from concept to technical delivery.

  • Conduct occasional site visits and provide inspection support where required.


Essential Skills and Experience

  • HNC / HND (or equivalent) in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related discipline.

  • Minimum 4 years of relevant UK-based experience.

  • Proficient in AutoCAD (Revit experience advantageous).

  • Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and construction methods.

  • Excellent technical drawing and detailing skills.

  • Strong communication, organisation, and teamwork abilities.

  • Ideally based locally to our Rayne, Braintree office.
