The Role:
They are looking for a skilled Structural Engineer who can take a leading role in project delivery. Whether you’re a Project Engineer or a Senior Engineer, this position is ideal for someone with a proven track record of managing engineering projects and who is ready to step up as the day-to-day engineering lead.
You’ll be involved in a variety of projects, working independently and representing the company at external meetings with clients, contractors, and design teams. The role is tailored to suit your experience, with a focus on providing technical leadership while working on a broad range of multi-million-pound projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading the structural design and delivery of projects from concept to construction.
- Managing project coordination and representing the company at client and design team meetings.
- Offering guidance and mentorship to junior engineers on your projects.
- Collaborating with the in-house technician/BIM team to produce coordinated structural information.
- Conducting structural analysis and design of low-rise structures in steel, concrete, timber, and masonry.
- Handling structural assessments and refurbishments for existing buildings, including heritage and conservation projects.
- Producing clear reports, specifications, and design calculations.
- Ensuring compliance with UK building regulations, Eurocodes, and relevant industry standards.
- Supporting project delivery while managing budgets, quality standards, and project timelines.
What We’re Looking For:
The ideal candidate will have:
- A strong track record in structural engineering, with experience in leading projects.
- Knowledge of low-rise framed structures in steel, concrete, timber, and masonry.
- Experience in working on heritage or refurbishment projects is a bonus.
- The ability to manage projects independently and collaborate effectively with internal teams and external clients.
- A focus on delivering high-quality work that meets industry standards and client expectations.
