About the Opportunity
Are you an ambitious Structural Engineer with a passion for reinforced concrete (RC) design and technical innovation?
Invisible Connections is looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our specialist team in Thame. As a key technical lead, you will influence a diverse portfolio of reinforced concrete and hybrid construction projects across the UK and Ireland. This is a chance to move beyond standard consultancy and become a product expert for industry-leading telescopic connectors and reinforcement continuity systems like FERBOX® and TERWA COUPLER CADDi®.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As our Senior Structural Engineer, you will provide critical technical and practical advice to specifiers, precasters, and in-situ concrete contractors.

Technical Proposals: Interpret customer drawings and use in-house calculation software and spreadsheets to provide accurate load calculations and structural proposals.

Structural Design: Prepare hand calculations and present graphical ideas using industry-standard FEA and CAD software.

Client Engagement: Act as a technical consultant for the entire client chain, including Tier 1 contractors and specialist structural consultants.

Product Innovation: Lead the evolution of our “invisible” connection systems and manage technical documentation.

Supply Chain Support: Liaise with our European manufacturing partners (Norway, Romania, The Netherlands) and support our Oxfordshire-based production team.
What You’ll Bring
We are looking for a professional who balances technical rigour with a collaborative, “can-do” attitude.

Qualifications: BEng, MEng, or equivalent in Civil or Structural Engineering.

Expertise: Proven experience in reinforced concrete design and a working knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software.

Communication: Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and commercial stakeholders.

Leadership: A willingness to mentor junior engineers and contribute to a progressive team culture.

Flexibility: While primarily office-based in Thame, you are open to occasional international travel and site visits.
