Senior Engineer(Digital Workflows and Computational Design)

Are you an experienced structural engineer with specialism in digital engineering? Are you process driven and solutions focused? If this sounds like you, the institution of Structural Engineers has the role for you.

Alongside the interests and challenges of the role, we know that candidates also want to be enthused about the mission and values of the organisation they might be joining.

IStructE is the professional body for structural engineers and a charity. We have a global membership who have designed many of the world’s iconic structures as well as many of the buildings and bridges we take almost for granted in our daily lives. Creating safe, sustainable structures for the benefit of the public is at the heart of our remit, with structural engineering a main driver of the impact construction has on natural resources and climate change. The use of digital tools allows us to succeed in our goals.

We are passionate about inclusion and work hard to help those with talent, irrespective of background, to find and develop a route into the profession. Many of our members work to support the world’s most vulnerable communities, especially those living in places prone to natural hazards such as earthquakes and extreme flooding, which we look to provide the tools to mitigate.

If working as part of a staff team of about 74 people and alongside many of our members to address these issues appeals to you, then we would love to hear from you.

The Role

Take a leading role in supporting and developing the technical awareness and understanding of integrated computational design and digital processes across the Institution and its members in meeting our safety and sustainability goals and advancing the science of structural engineering.
