The Opportunity

JPSE Construction Ltd is part of a group of companies under John Plummer Holdings Ltd.  We are a market leading, innovative, dynamic Structural Engineering business specialising in the design, fabrication, and installation of steel foundations (bespoke screw piling and ground beams) and hybrid load bearing light gauge and structural steel superstructures (low to high rise).  We design structures predominantly for residential and utilities but are looking to expand into industrial the leisure sectors.  Our work covers the entirety of the UK and occasionally abroad.

Our design solutions are focussed on buildability and delivering completion quicker than our competitors.  We pride ourselves on not using craneage to erect our structures meaning that access constraints do not exist, opening the field of opportunity significantly beyond that which is normally associated with steel construction.

We exercise our all-round knowledge and ability as Structural Engineers to deliver complete Structural Engineering consultancy services for our Clients, delivering solutions beyond those elements that we supply and install.

We are looking to expand the business for which we require a Chartered Structural Engineer to lead and develop our Structural Engineering capability.  The successful candidate will have managerial experience, be free thinking and energetic, be demonstrably innovative, be passionate about continuous improvement, be committed to excellence in design, be an excellent communicator, and will be focussed on delivering solutions on time and in accordance with our principles.  The successful candidate will have a proven track record in foundation and steel design.

The candidate will work closely with the Design and Construction Directors and other senior managers across the business and will help drive growth.

Successful delivery of the role will lead to opportunities for business ownership.
