Our client, a thriving, boutique engineering consultancy based in the Isle of Man, is seeking an Associate Engineer with a strong structural background to open an office in the Northwest of England.

This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a senior role where you’ll be pivotal in driving the business forward. The company is offering a unique platform for an experienced Associate Engineer or Principal Engineer ready to take the next step in their career and have genuine ownership potential in the future.

About the Role:

As an Associate Engineer, you will play a key role in the continued success and growth of the business. You’ll manage and oversee the delivery of a range of engineering services, collaborating with a small yet highly skilled team. Your projects will span multiple sectors including residential, commercial, and industrial, providing you with diverse and exciting challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage structural engineering projects from inception through to completion.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical expertise and support.
  • Take on project management responsibilities, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Support the development and implementation of company strategy, with a view to potential ownership.
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure technical excellence and high-quality standards are maintained.
  • Maintain and develop client relationships to drive business growth.

Who We Are Looking For:

  • Chartered Structural Engineer with proven experience at an Associate or Principal Engineer level.
  • Experience working in residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.
  • Strong technical background and the ability to manage complex structural projects.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Motivated, forward-thinking, and ready to take on more responsibility within a growing business.
  • A genuine interest in taking on business ownership in the future.
  • Previous experience in mentoring and developing junior engineers is a plus.
