Key Responsibilities

As a senior member of the engineering team, you will manage projects from concept to completion:

  • Project Management: Lead multiple structural projects while maintaining strong client and architect relationships.

  • Technical Design: Produce detailed calculations and designs for steel, reinforced concrete, and masonry in accordance with Eurocodes.

  • Software Proficiency: Utilize AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, or Revit to create technical drawings and specifications.

  • Coordination: Liaise with contractors and consultants to ensure seamless technical delivery.

  • Site Inspections: Conduct site visits to ensure construction complies with design requirements and provide on-site support.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Chartership: Must be a Chartered Structural Engineer (MIStructE or MICE).

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant UK-based structural engineering experience.

  • Software: Proficiency in AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, or Revit.

  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and diverse project types (new build, refurbishment, and conversion).

  • Logistics: Must live within a 1-hour drive of Cambridge and hold a valid UK driving license with access to a car for site visits.
