We are working with an established and forward-thinking structural engineering practice that is seeking a talented and collaborative Senior Structural Engineer to join its growing Manchester studio. The Role
As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will work across a diverse portfolio of projects including residential, education, commercial, development and regeneration schemes. You will collaborate closely with high-profile private and public-sector clients, contributing both technically and strategically to project delivery.
You will play a key role in leading and developing a team of engineers and technicians, supporting their growth while strengthening your own leadership, commercial and business development skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Structural engineering design across multiple sectors
- Preparation, checking and approval of drawings and calculations
- Briefing and mentoring engineers and technicians
- Attending project team and client meetings
- Site visits for inspections, surveys and construction support
- Producing technical reports and specifications
- Project resource planning and deadline management
- Internal design reviews and technical critiques
- Assisting Directors with project and practice delivery
About You
- Chartered Structural Engineer (MIStructE or MICE)
- Strong technical background with broad sector experience
- Confident communicator, comfortable engaging with clients and stakeholders
- Passionate about sustainable, high-quality design
- A collaborative leader who enjoys mentoring and developing others
- Organised, commercially aware and able to manage competing priorities
