Structural Engineers

The Steel Construction Institute is an independent organisation recognised for its technical expertise, and committed to helping businesses throughout the steel construction supply chain.  We have an international reputation for research, product development, problem solving, and education.

A number of exciting new prospects for 2022 mean we currently have an opportunity for one or more structural engineers to join our team. We seek applicants who have a good quality degree and a desire to learn. Some practical experience working in the steel construction sector would be beneficial but is certainly not essential. Because of our role in disseminating information we place a high level of importance on the ability to write clear and concise English, as well as the ability to make high quality technical presentations.

As we are a small organisation our engineers are given a high level of personal responsibility for project work - much of which is at the leading edge of technical development – and are expected to use their initiative.
