ASSOCIATE/ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR STRUCURES TEAM
£45,000 - £60,000 per annum + plus benefits (Permanent)
A company are looking for an Associate/Associate Director for Their Structures team. This is a fantastic opportunity, not only to lead a growing team, but also to drive the structures department forward - taking on the responsibility for ongoing projects and securing new business. Ensuring all designs adhere to the latest codes of practice and UK regulations. The position is based in Hugglescote, near Leicester, so you must live within daily commuting distance of the office, and due to the need for travel to sites across the UK it is essential that you have a full UK driving licence. Key role responsibilities:Management and development of the structural engineering team.Design project management, co-ordination with other disciplines/offices, client liaison, fee proposals and invoicing.Applying your engineering knowledge to analyse the structural integrity of permanent and temporary works structures.Represent the company at design and site meetings.Working collaboratively with engineers and other technicians to deliver multiple project designs.Business development with existing clients and creating new contacts/opportunities.The mentoring and supervision of the team.Key skills, experience and attributes required:A minimum qualification of a degree in Civil Engineering or similar.Chartered or Incorporated Engineer and member of IStructE or ICE.Experience of running/growing a team.Experience of being able to attract new business/winning work - bringing contacts would be an additional bonus.Working knowledge of Building Control, NHBC and Highway Authority submission and approval processes.Proficient in the use of structural design software such as Tekla/Tedds.Good IT skills, including MS Office.Excellent communication skills, to liaise with colleagues and clients; andAbility to work within a team and also able work under own initiative.If you are interested in applying for this role, please send an updated CV to Andrew Sparksor call on 02038542961.
