Bridge engineers and bridge management professionals needed to join the Council’s team

Senior Engineer (PO2/3): Salary £30785 to £36379

Engineer (PO1): Salary £29323 to £31601

Transport infrastructure is key to the continuing success and development of the city of Leeds.

The Bridges Team within Highways and Transportation Service manages the Council’s bridge stock, planning, promoting and designing bridge maintenance and strengthening schemes as well as working with partners and external developers, to ensure the stock remains safe and serviceable into the future.

We are currently seeking capable and flexible engineers to undertake work in any of these areas.

Professionals with experience in infrastructure asset management and client functions are invited to apply, as well as those with design and project experience. Key to your success with us will be your ability to work well with others, including all our stakeholders.

The posts attract a generous leave entitlement and are eligible for membership of the West Yorkshire Pension scheme. They are permanent appointments currently based outside of the city centre in offices with car parking and convenient bus services. The service supports flexible working and flexitime.
