Due to successfully winning more projects in the Region and increased workload, we are now on the lookout for a Contracts Manager, you will ideally be located around the Rugby / Milton Keynes / Bedford/ Oxford / Luton area.
- Keep close links to the contracts by visiting each site as required.
Assess the performance of each contract by:
- Checking resource levels on site
- Monitoring and assessing validity of programmes
- Monitoring performance of sub-contractors
- Assessing commercial performance and seeking areas for improvement.
- Monitoring performance against contract programme.
- Carrying out health and safety and environmental assessments.
- Maintain and develop strong client links on each contract
- Attend progress meetings where required
- Attend monthly contract meetings with Regional Director.
- Liaise with other departments to arrange joint inspections, as well as provide regular feedback to the department from sites.

The successful candidate will need to have experience in civil engineering working on highways, structures, infrastructure, and earthworks and must have section 278 and 38 works. Experience of working with developers and schemes worth up to £10M would also be desirable.
We’re after a team player who has excellent communication and people skills who have the ability to manage change.
Already experienced as a Contracts Manager or Senior Project Manager looking for the next step in your career, you will have a relevant industry qualification (HND/ HNC/ BEng) or equivalent and an up to date SMSTS qualification, and appropriate CSCS card. A First Aid at work qualification is desirable.
