Now we’re looking for a highly motivated and creative Junior CAD Technician to join our Computer Aided Drafting team and support the delivery of our vital property and construction goals.

When you join us in this important role, you’ll start by working under supervision as you produce AutoCAD and REVIT drawings to a high and consistent standard and liaise with our customers on a wide range of design related activities. Helping to manage the templates and standards of the drawings we produce, and making sure they conform to the correct security classifications, you’ll also work alongside some of our technical experts to ensure all relevant drawing information is correctly coordinated.

Other key tasks will include integrating your security advisors’ recommendations into project proposals and distributing historical drawing data to our project teams and their clients. In addition, you’ll aim to achieve a utilisation rate of at least 70% while ensuring all relevant policies and processes are followed, and work to develop your skills and complete all the training courses we offer. We’ll also expect you to support the team as they build strong, positive relationships with a wide range of customers and stakeholders.

With the ability to draft, write and interpret professional and technical documents, you’ll be capable of producing highly professional drawings using AutoCAD and REVIT, and be an accomplished and. confident user of the MS Office suite of software. A superb communicator and a collaborative team worker, you’ll have a good understanding of construction processes and a keen interest in building design. When it comes to formal qualifications, we’ll look for a Level 2 qualification equivalent to 5 GCSEs at Grade A-C, including Maths and English, and practical understanding of the use of SketchUp and Photoshop would be a bonus. You should also be aware of the importance of good drawing and document control, and experience of working in a design office environment would also be desirable.
