Chartered Civil & Structural Engineer
We deliver security on a global scale – designing and building security projects for government customers around the world. All our projects present unique challenges and, with security at stake, every single one has to be delivered seamlessly.
Your expertise will reach further than ever before
Ideal for an experienced engineer or someone ready to step up a level, this role will see you leading the design and management of a range of projects. You’ll take on challenges ranging from technical inspections, surveys and design work, as well as supporting and advising clients and colleagues. Whatever the project, wherever in the world it is, you’ll manage clients, colleagues and budgets to deliver the highest levels of efficiency, cost effectiveness and safety.
You have plenty of experience to build on
This is a specialist role, so ideally you combine a structural or civil engineering qualification with membership of a body such as MICE or MIStructE. If you don’t have full chartered membership but have everything else we’re looking for, we will still consider your application. Either way, you’ll need a background in leading design and construction teams throughout every stage of a project. Health and safety knowledge is important too, as are financial management skills and knowledge of design software. Crucially, you must also be willing and able to travel frequently overseas, often at short notice.
And you’re looking for a role that will stretch you
At FCO Services, we keep information, assets and people safe all around the world. Our customers, who include the Foreign & Commonwealth Office, look to us to respond with speed, agility and innovation to their ever-changing security challenges. The importance and sheer diversity of our work will present you with some unique challenges. And the experience you’ll gain will take your career to the next level.
All our employees have to be security cleared to the highest level, so you will need to undergo a comprehensive vetting process before joining.
