Regional Temporary Works Engineer

Job purpose

Our London Operation is expanding….

We are seeking a Regional Temporary Works Engineer to work out of our London Hub Office to provide support to our site and tender teams. We are involved in many high profile and challenging projects in a fast moving environment which will require you to work closely our with Tender and Site teams to ensure schemes are fit for purpose and suit the client’s needs.  You will also help to ensure that the company’s temporary works procedures are implemented on site and in the office.

Responsibilities

  • You should be able to design a wide variety of Temporary Works including façade retention and excavation support and be able to check and review third party proposals.
  • The role will require you to visit sites in and around London to provide advice and support and to meet other designers where necessary.
  • This is a Regional Position and so you must be confident on working remotely but knowing you have the support of the Main Design Team based in Birmingham. As such you will be required to visit Birmingham on an ad hoc basis.

Knowledge skills & experience

  • To be considered for the role you should have a degree or master’s degree in civil engineering or structural engineering and either be chartered and working towards it.
  • You should have solid experience of working in a similar role either for a contractor or consultant held over sustained period.
  • However, as much as your qualifications are important you must also be a good communicator and able to discuss issues with all levels of personnel.
